149 - BreakPoint Pre-Defined Data Capture Functions

The BreakPoint Retail Cash System provides the ability for the client to collect any type of information desired. With amazing ease and flexibility, users can program their own Data Capture Functions to prompt for any type of information, print that information on the receipt or journal, and also collect that information for end-of-day reporting or for ASCII file transfer to another system.

As well, BreakPoint Systems Corporation provides several Pre-defined Data Capture Functions for specialized management or system interface purposes. These specific Data Capture Functions are pre-programmed to perform data collection of information required for some standard commercial application interfacing, and include the following:

Data Capture # - ASCII Data Filename - Purpose of Pre-defined Data Capture

150 - CUSTOMER.DAT - Customer Charge / Received on Account Transaction Data File for posting to Accounts Receivable Systems
151 - FREQSHOP.DAT - Frequent Shopper Transaction Data File for posting to Frequent Shopper Tracking Systems
152 - LOSSPREV.DAT - Loss Prevention Transaction Data File for posting to Loss Preventions Tracking Systems
153 - SERIALNO.DAT - Serial Number / Customer Information Sales Data File for posting to Inventory Control/Serial Number Tracking Systems

The BreakPoint Pre-defined Data Capture Functions are available to any BreakPoint user. Each package includes one BreakPoint Technical Newsletter numbered TNxxx and one BreakPoint Data Capture File named PSDCxxx.TPL, where xxx is the Data Capture Function Number.

The BreakPoint Technical Newsletter will provide instruction for the loading and implementation of the Pre-defined Data Capture Function. Once installed, a Pre-defined Data Capture can be modified to meet the customized requirements of the client.

Every BreakPoint Pre-defined Data Capture Function has been interfaced to some commercial backroom software application for purposes of reporting or data management.
