Open Department Entry Normally each BreakPoint department is accessed through its own assignable Keyboard Layout position. However, if you do not have enough keyboard positions for all of your departments, you may use the Open Department Entry function. When the Open Department key is pressed, BreakPoint will prompt the cashier for the department number, permitting the cashier to transact department entries for departments that do not have keyboard positions.
