Automatic Coupon Saver The Automatic Coupon Saver performs automatic distribution and tracking of vendor coupons, providing a terrific service to store managers. Normally, when a group of coupons are provided to a merchant, it is the responsibility of that merchant to distribute and collect those coupons. Only after the coupons have been properly distributed and collected back from the customers can the merchant send the coupons back to the manufacturer for collection. With the Automatic Coupon Saver, the merchant does not need to either distribute or collect the coupons. The PLU Item to which the coupon applies may be programmed for Automatic Coupon Saver discount, so that the coupon discount will be automatically applied each time that item is sold. BreakPoint will also keep track of the number of coupon discounts issued and will automatically turn off the Automatic Coupon Saver feature when the programmed number of coupons have been issued. When all coupons have been issued and the Automatic Coupon Saver has been turned off, the merchant is notified by BreakPoint so that the coupons may now be sent in for reimbursement. This dynamic feature makes in-store coupon management a dream. Not only does it eliminate the need for distribution and collection of vendor coupons, it permits the operator to take the credit for the discounts. The merchant may also elect to use the coupon discounts as part of the Giveaway Promotion or the Secret Saver Promotion programs.
